On July 13, 14 and 15, 2021, exceptional amounts of precipitation fell in the east of France, Belgium, Switzerland and western Germany, generating catastrophic floods following the flash floods of many rivers. This was related to a low pressure system which remained quasi-stationary over Germany on 14-15 July. The damage is enormous, houses are completely destroyed, others will have to be knocked down, leaving many families homeless. Many people died in this episode (37 in Belgium and about 140 in Germany), or are missing.......
